CW 10.6 is duplicating a target task every time CW is initialized. How to get rid of this?

I'm using CW10.6 updated to this date with a project that uses a target task to flash my DSC,

Every time I open CW or open the project after it has been closed (close project/open project),

a new target task is created. So I have lots of "CopyOfMYTARGETNAME (n)" in the target tasks.

Any idea how to stop CW from duplicating these tasks?
