The question with codewarrior lisense

I know a lisense of codewarrior is to lock a lisense with MAC and Hardisk lable.The first question is if I want to buy such a lisense, do I need to offer my MAC&HardLable at the same time? Or, they are only needed at the register and activity moment? The second question is if my lisense machine is lost or have a hardware problem, how can I use another machine to replace the lisense one?

Hello,

When you use a license which is locked on one computer, you cannot use it on another one.

If you want a license that can be moved, you need to buy a dongle that you will be able to put on one or another computer.

The 'node' details are needed when the product is registered and the bought license issued.

If you plan to change your machine, it would be better to invest a bit more in the dongle.

Yes, in principle.

After in particular cases I don't know...

Otherwise that would be far too easy!
I would say I lost my computer every month and re-sell licenses on the Internet !

There is also an option of buying floating licenses.
This way, you have a server which only gives the license when a computer uses the software.
It's a way to share a license between computers.
