Trace and Profile analysis on coldfire 52259evB using MQX

In code warrior 10.0 the Trace and Profile tab in debug settings cannot be enabled, it is greyed out.

So my question was is it even supported? if supported

I tried on bare board project and on a custion project with MQX, in both conditions it is greyed out.

Does someone have any info, on what can be done to enable software profiling?

We have network licenses (1 professional and 2 standard) how do I know what license is currenlty active for my session, does not seem to have an option to find out, any ideas?

You are using CodeWarrior for MCUs v10, right? According to the on-line spec sheet, these tools obtain trace info for HCS08, Kinetis, and ColdFire V1 parts. The CF522259 is a V2 part.

To check this out, try building a CodeWarrior demo project using a ColdFire V1 part and see if tracing is enabled. Then try building a CodeWarrior demo project using the CF52259 and see if tracing is disabled.

Yes you are right, it did work for the V1 part.

Do you or some has any idea when this might be supported for V2 parts, if at all?

What does everyone use for tracing, code profiling or code efficiency, to see which part of the code might be hogging up the system, or corrupting the memory, just curious.

I second that. Tracing is a valuable feature; does anyone know if that feature will ever be available for Coldfire V2 through CodeWarrior?

Available on CW10.2 for Coldfire V2.
