      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;Hi,&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;The simulator doesn't simulate peripherals.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;Extract of the Targeting_56800E.pdf manual:&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;The CodeWarrior Development Studio for Freescale 56800/E Digital Signal Controllers includes the Freescale DSP56800E Simulator.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;This software lets you run and debug code on a simulated DSP56800E architecture without installing any additional hardware.&lt;BR /&gt;The simulator simulates the DSP56800E processor, not the peripherals.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;In order to use the simulator, you must select a connection that uses the simulator as your debugging protocol from the Remote Debugging panel.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;Regards&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;Pascal&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
