The sticker on the bottom of the case will show 900-xxxxx.&amp;nbsp; Check to see if this matches one of the numbers above.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#0000ff"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT color="#0000ff"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;How to tell if your USBTAP is affected:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#0000ff"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#0000ff"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If you suspect your USBTAP is no longer working due to ESD, try the following:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;FONT color="#0000ff"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT color="#0000ff"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;A.&amp;nbsp; Is it the case ?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Check the board.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Check that the Jtag connection is selected. This is done by a jumper. This jumper define if the Jtag or the // connector is used. Is it working using a sample // cable as interface ? Do you have another board ?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Check the PC.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Can you install the tool on another PC ?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Check the project.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;After to start the debug session, the ccs tool is automatically launched too.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Be sure that the right settings are selected in the target settings panels.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Open it and go to Debugger | Remote Debugging and select 56800 Local USBTAP connection.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Pascal&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello Pascal,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;There is a problem with my Debugger it is giving: "CCS:USB OPEN FAILURE" while loading the debugging data.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Green light is glowing when I connect the USB TAP (ONCE) to the system. But i am not able to load the data for debugging.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Can you please help me in this regard.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have been having a number of USB Tap issues lately as well.&amp;nbsp; I have been developing for 2 years now and the last week or so I have been constantly getting:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;USB Open Failure&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Core Not Responding&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Network Timeout&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and a few other errors.&amp;nbsp; They don't seem to be consistant.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyways, how did you uninstall the drivers?&amp;nbsp; Did you simply reinstall new ones over the top? Or did you get a file list and delete the files inividually?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am using Codewarrior&amp;nbsp; for DSC56800/E 8.1.1a and I just downloaded the latest (8.2.2?) so I am hoping that installing this will update the drivers.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have 3 Taps which have failed with a similar selection of errors.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The latest failed last week and reinstalling codewarrior 6.3 does not cure the problem.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I downloaded the RHOS USBTAP Update which refuses to do the job because it says ....&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; !&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; A qualified instalation of the CodeWarrior tools to be update could not be found in the location specified, Please check the directory selected and try again.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Well I browsed to the installation, and then the bin folder and then ...&amp;nbsp; nothing seems to work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does anybody know what folder the Update is looking for?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also any clever tricks folks might know to get these critters working.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Cheers.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That makes sense.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I downloaded and installed 7.1 and although the USB TAP was missing from the options I've fixed that.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The situation is that I have 3 partially functioning TAPS.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;They can communicate with the IDE up to a point and then time out internally.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It looks as if the Loader Firmware is functioning but the apps behind it are not ... as if they are in some hung state.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there a way to upgrade the firmware or issue a factory reset ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I did try running ccs.exe but that just runs doing nothing?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Stalis&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

Is it the case ?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Check the board.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Check that the Jtag connection is selected. This is done by a jumper. This jumper define if the Jtag or the // connector is used. Is it working using a sample // cable as interface ? Do you have another board ?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Check the PC.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Can you install the tool on another PC ?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Check the project.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;After to start the debug session, the ccs tool is automatically launched too.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Be sure that the right settings are selected in the target settings panels.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="2"&gt;Open it and go to Debugger | Remote Debugging and select 56800 Local USBTAP connection.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Pascal&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm experiencing the same problem with a customer's notebook with Vista business, s.p.1, and codewarrior for 56f8367.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The usb tab is recognized when inserted, but the driver is not correctly installed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have already uninstalled codewarrior and deleted its folder, and reinstalled in a folder with a different name, with this sequence:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) codewarrior v8.0&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2) update 8.1.1a&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3) patch&amp;nbsp; 8.2.2&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4) rohs usbtap update&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;After that, connecting the tap I obtain the same problem, and inside the control panel an error message is shown.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have tried with another tap and with another usb port, but the problem remains.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;These usb taps are brand new, and they work with my xp computer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
