I'll refer you to the &lt;A href="http://www.freescale.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/MCF5275RM.pdf?fpsp=1" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"&gt;MCF5275 Reference Manual&lt;/A&gt;, and to the &lt;A href="http://www.freescale.com/files/32bit/doc/ref_manual/MCF5275RMAD.pdf" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"&gt;MCF5275 Reference Manual errata&lt;/A&gt; sheet. Be aware that the timer can be configured to continue to run in the debug mode. See Chapter 21, page 1 of the reference manual.
