Hi, I'm in the processes of determining if I can use the QSPI on the MCF52211 to write to an SD card using an SD card reader breakout board. I have the MCF5221 demo board and see the QSPI can be accessed via pins on J1. I'm sure I will have more questions, but wanted to verify that it was possible.

Thank you

I think you can. SD card has SPI mode

Better yet, and I'm just shooting this out there, does anyone know of any kind of dev kit or hardware which can write to some sort of NAND flash memory? My idea doesn't require mobility so instead of using an SD card I'd like to use flash memory or eeprom. The largest assessable memory I could find on a microcontroller was around 2MB, I would need closer to 256MB.

Thanks to anyone can point me in the right direction.

Message Edited by joey c on 2009-06-19 08:44 AM

Message Edited by joey c on 2009-06-19 08:46 AM
