      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;It should be possible to build &lt;A href="https://phoneme.dev.java.net/content/phoneme_advanced_r2.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"&gt;PhoneME MR2&lt;/A&gt; for Coldfire.&lt;BR /&gt;The basic build needs some basic assembler functions to glue java calls to C calls.&lt;BR /&gt;The more advanced build involves the JIT compiler, and that would be hard: all the example code is written for&amp;nbsp; Arm cores.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;On the &lt;A href="http://wiki.java.net/bin/view/Mobileandembedded/PhoneMEAdvanced" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"&gt;twiki&lt;/A&gt; page there's valuable documentation on how to port PhoneME to new cores.&lt;BR /&gt;The link to how to build it for &lt;A href="http://wiki.java.net/bin/view/Mobileandembedded/PhoneMEAdvancedPlatformsMX31LinuxARM" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"&gt;Freescale iMX.31&lt;/A&gt; applies to the LTIB toolchain for coldfire.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://weblogs.java.net/blog/mlam/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"&gt;Mark Lam's blog&lt;/A&gt; is a treasure cave for who wants to explore the internals of the CDC and CVM.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
