CML5282-Lite board

I'm experiencing some problems using the CML5282-Lite board Ethernet
interface.

1) The "dn" command doesn't work. Did someone use this command
successfully ? When launched, there are no frames sent from
the board (I have checked with a network analyzer)

2) I have written a driver for the 5282 FEC. If I connect the board
over my network and I launch the software with GDB, the driver is
not able to read the transceiver's registers. But if I disconnect
the board from the network and I launch the software with GDB, the
driver is able to read the registers ! Anyone can suggest me
something ?

3) For my understanding, I think that I can use the 5282 FEC without
setup the transceiver (it uses some default parameters at power-up).
Am I correct with this assumption ?
