mcf5253 external bus byte write

Hi,

I'm looking at using the MCF5253 with a word wide SRAM on the external bus.

However, I cannot see any way of controlling which bytes of the data bus are active on a write.

Other MCF52XX chips I've used have a uppler/lower data bus strobe but this doesn't appear to have those.

Anybody done this before or knows what I'm missing ?

I see there have been similar questions to this for the mcf5249 on here but they didn't seem to get a reply/solution.

The answer, via support, is that the writing of bytes to a word wide sram is not supported

Need to think of a plan-b quickly, sadly doesn't look like it's going to be Freescale
