    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am new to ColdFire and also looking for a cheap development environment for the chip (MCF5271) on Linux.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does anybody suggest a solution (hardware/software/driver) to program the chip above, (debugging is optional)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does bdm.sourceforce.net work with my chip? Which cable needed to flash it?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

I want to use uCLinux. What should I use software, tool and programmer to write code, debug and programmer for MCF5271?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. What different are JTAG and BDM? I should JTAG or BDM to programmer for MCF5271.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;there are bdm pod can use in linux, but I never try it. currently, I use BDM burn bootloader into flash under windows host with codewarrior. then use bootloader to download kernelimage.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;freescale offers open source BDM for coldfire, and there are also another open source bdm named USBDM. if you are in china mainland, plaease see: &lt;A href="http://nicrosystem.taobao.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"&gt;http://nicrosystem.taobao.com&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
