Hi there. I want to use CFflasher with a flash memory that is not in the default list that comes with the program.

I guess I need a .alg file, but I dont know how to get it?

It looks not very difficult to create a file for the new flash but the final alg section, that I am not sure how to create it.

I am using Spansion S29AL032D flash.

Thanks, Aitor.

You may want to check out Application note 2980 (AN2980, or ANFlashprogram.pdf), which has some information on using the Codewarrior debugger to program different flash parts. Also check out "Adding Flash Devices to the EPPC Flash programmer" or CWFLASHPROWP.pdf, which covers the same information. While both of these might not be applicable to your processor, the information should give you some ideas how to decode those .alg files.
