    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;Hello,&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;I am currently moving our design from the 5206e to the 5207 and I have a question&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;about the chip configuration module.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;I look at the schematics of the evaluation board and I see that the configuration&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;bits are set using a latch connected to the bus.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;Is it not possible to use pull ups and downs directly connected to the data bus to&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;configure the chip? Or is there some problem that I'm not aware of?&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;My bus is already heavily loaded with memory and devices so I am hoping to get rid of this extra load.&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;best regards&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;Andy&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
