hello,

where can i discuss issues related to MPC8260,

here is my question

what is the criteria for putting the buffer in external memory (fcc ethernet),

can i create buffer in any part of the external RAM, or there r some conditions to

be taken care of.

Iam facing problem with MCC Transparent mode.

After every BD I transmit ,FF are getting padded at the end of the buffer,the number of FF are equal to the number of time slots programed.

Iam not setting Last bit in my BD.

Any one can help on this issue.

You can place FCC buffer descriptors (BDs) and the buffers anywhere in
external memory. Please note that the FCC uses burst transactions to
access memory, therefore your SDRAM must be properly programmed to
support burst operations.

Please be aware, the DPRAM memory doesn't support burst operations,
therefore it can not be used to store FCC buffer descriptors and buffers.

Is your explanation related to my issue?

If yes what is the relation between MCC and FCC?

Iam using MCC in Transparent mode.

my previous answer is not with respect to your question,that is very evident from the answer,FCC is independent from MCC,

Actually i was replying to myfirst post,as i got the answer to my post, i thought of sharing it in the forum for those who visits the thread.

I am not much aware of MCC though but what i found is that your question is not very clear.take this as suggestion..

post in following manner

1.what your intentions are or say what you want to do

2.and then specify what you get ,

so that whoever sees your post can answer you in better way.

if u need answer urgently then u may write to freescale support

they are always ready to answer our question however silly it may be.
