Hi, DRon Wang:

If you are planning to do motor control, I would suggest one of the 56F8xxx family members rather than a ColdFire. These have DSP cores, and on-chip peripherals that a designed for motor control, like quadrature decoders and pulse-width-modulators. You can see a few of them here:

http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/taxonomy.jsp?nodeId=016246863662921379

I don't know how they compare with the ColdFire with regards to price.

Is there anybody who can help me to find out a Coldfire to replace with Microchip dsPIC30F4011/4012 and dsPIC33F which reference price is about 5 to 6 USD. The target price of the Coldfire must be about 5 USD. This project is for DC Servo motor Driver (Voltage Command).

Please also advise if there any EVB or Demo board for DC and AC Servo Motor Driver and Controller. Cost of the Coldfire should be at about 5 to 6 USD/chip.
