Cf Flasher "cannot initialize BDM device"

Hi,

I am using Windows XP and I am connected to 5485EVB using BDM Parallel.

I got the error cannot initialize BDM device.

I looked at the troubleshooting page of the CF Flasher Help.

I didn't understand the first 2 points.

1)How do I check the BIOS settings for the parallel port?

2) I do not know where to get the patch to turn off the parallel port plug and play scanning "feature".

Bibhu,

The BIOs setting should be available when you restart your computer. Looks for some way to get into your BIOs setup during the first couple of seconds after restart.

Each computer vendor does it differently. But typical choices are: F1, F2, DEL, CTRL-S, ESC, or one of several other key strokes.

As for your second question... I'm not sure either.
Will have to ask around.
