Improved FTP support for uTasker M5223X project - new doc

Hi All

For uTasker users and anyone else interested - improved FTP support has been added to the uTasker M5223X project which will be available in the next SP.
This ensures compatibility with various 'favourite' FTP clients including FireFTP (FireFox with add-on) in active and passive modes with anonymous or authentication login.

The following new document details the implementation (requiring 4,5k program space on the M5223X) with an overview of FTP operation as well as practical FTP client comparisons.

Here is a quick update.

The Service Pack SP4 is now available to all uTasker users on the V1.3 SW page

At long last this SP is supplied with a GNU build project (as well as CodeWarrior) which works great!! It can be build from VisualStudio when working with the uTasker simulator. Here is a direct comparison of code sizes...showing just how competive the GNU compiler is!

GNU   FLASH    56'848 bytes / RAM 1'728 bytes (including 1024 bytes for vector RAM)
CW6.3 FLASH    59'492 bytes / RAM 1'680 bytes (including 1024 bytes for Vector RAM)

For anyone with a M52233DEMO or M52235EVB I have updated an SREC of the standard project demo which shows FTP, HTTP and Telnet capabilities which can be found here:

Don't forget that the uTasker is completely free for non-commercial use and new users are always welcome.

From the beginning of July 2007 the uTasker has its own forum for discussions and questions!!
