I was saying your question was so vague it was like asking "fix my car" without saying what car it is. Or for another example, asking the whole planet "where is the railway station" without saying what city (or even country) you're in.

How are we meant to know from that limited information?

What MODEL "Bartec logger"? What POD do you have to plug onto the BDM interface? What software are you controlling it with?

That still won't help as you probably don't know what locations in the SRAM need to be set or what values they need to be set to. It would be a pretty bad design that bricks when the battery is removed. There should be some "factory reset" mechanism to put it back to normal.

Have you tried contacting Bartec?

Tom

Thanks for help!

Logger was working ok but battery was bad and I change battery, and it stops working.

On board is BDM connector (10 pin).

Now procesor is in “Stop” mode. I think that setting of start address is lost. Program is in Flash (29F040)

I am working with new ARM processor ,and don’t know much about that old MC68332A

I have one BDM interface (for paralel port PC), but I don’t have any program for PC to run BDM interface.

BR

Zlatko

Throw it away if you can't get any details. It is 20 years old (made in 1997 from the photo).

The photo shows it is a "Bartek Ultrakust" but not which model. Which you STILL haven't told me! If there's no visible "Factory Reset" or User Manual saying how to reset it, then there's no way to get it back.

Tom

It is Petrodat TMU.

Is it possible to read and write to memory (procesor RAM, or external RAM) using BDM interface.

Which software, BDM hardware? I have another logger which is OK, and if I can read from this one and write to bad one?

BR

Zlatko

You could SEARCH for answers to these. A very recent post addressed the programmer and software issue:

https://community.nxp.com/thread/449457

Without the schematic (or reverse-engineering the boards) you won't know which chip-select the RAM is connected to. if the board is setting that up, you won't know what address (in the 4G address space) the RAM appears at. The SRAM contents may include serialisation - every unit may have to have different contents. You'd have to try and compare two working units to try and work that out, but then you wouldn't be easily able to tell the serial number stuff from everything else the unit stores in the SRAM.

Tom
