Longevity of MCF51JM

Hello:

I have a question about the longevity of some NXP parts which are part of the product longevity program at NXP (10 year category). The MCF51JM specifically, launched July 2008, what happens in 15 months when it hits its 10 year mark?

Will this part be going EOL at that time?

Any feedback or input is welcomed and appreciated!

I answered this one a bit over two weeks ago, but if you're viewing by "Latest Activity First" you won't see this because someone or something at NXP decided to reset the "Activity" dates on all posts to March 1. And haven't fixed it yet.

Hi,

Well, for the longevity issue, customer found from our forum is the old policy of Freescale. Now for the NXP, we had a new policy & process for the longevity issue. We had update this procedure and informed the distributor. So for customers who concern this issue, please contact our distributor in your location and they will update the infromation for the product longevity.
