      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;what are you trying to do? if you are looking to periodically interrupt the proc, i think it would be easier to use the PIT timers. however, if you are going to use the GPT, i believe that the maximum timeout is a little under 17 million system clocks (2^24). if you are looking on an external clock, i think it can be much longer. looking at the datasheet, though i'm not 100% sure how to use the module, you can prescale the Pulse Accumulator by up to 65536, then this can be divided by 2^16, or a total time of nearly 4.3 billion clock cycles (2^32). let me know if this helps, or if it is wrong...hehe.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Trevor&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
