Hello, I am a new user of this forum.

I use a 5208 Evaluation board and the USB multilink device for accessing the flash memory. The software associated with this BDM is CF Flasher 3.1.

I have some problem when I use CF Flasher: the board can not be accessed (an error message indicates that the microprocessor can not be forced in background mode). I have tried with another software (limited soft given by PE Micro, the BDM constructor) and it works.

Does CF Flasher need a special computer configuration or something else?

Thanks in advance

We have seen an issue when using the USB multilink with the default "Speed" setting in CF Flasher.

If you press on "Target Config", then click on the "Configure" button in the "BDM Communication" section, a window will pop up with "USB Port" and "Speed" drop down menus. Change the "Speed" from 1 to 10 and give it a try. This should fix the connecitivity issue you're seeing.

-mp

This solution does not work. the problem is not a configuration problem. In fact, CF Flasher does not use the right library to drive the USB Multilink with a USB 2.0

To correct the problem, the unit_cfz.dll file, placed in \Windows\System32\ should be replaced by a new one (in version 3.14 instead of 3.13).

This new dll is put in attachment.

Thanks for your answer.

unit_cfz_dll.jpg

Message Edited by t.dowe on 2009-10-21 02:44 AM
