Hi Wang,

I don't have a PT32 to test with. I tried a PT60 and USBDM had no problems programming my test file. There isn't much difference between the PT32 & PT60 chips and I have checked the device description in the XML file. I can't suggest any reason for the problem. I suggest you have another look at the PT32 entry in the XML and see if you can spot any errors (apart from the missing ID #).

Could you try the following:

Restore the XML file to the original form

Start the programmer

Manually choose the PT32 chip from the menu. Don't use the autodetect as I didn't know the chip ID when adding the PT32 entry.

Try programming.

Let me know the error message produced.

bye

Hi pgo,

USBDM has problem when I program MC9S08PT32.

first,USBDM can detect chip ID,but can't find chip type.

so,I modify the hcs08_device.xml.and it can find chip type.

so, I program the chip, but another question comes out.

Is it OK to use USBDM to debug MC9S08PTxx?
