Hi, I want to detect open load using PT2000, but I've met problems using the AN5186 project.

My board has the same channel connections as in AN5186. The solenoid is connected to channel1. It can be activated when using the sample project in PT2000 Dev Studio (referred to as DevStudio project later). However, the solenoid is not activated if the PT2000 project in AN5186 (referred to as AN5186 project) is used. In AN5186 project, err_uc0ch1 register shows value 1 for all channel1-related bits (cmd_HS1, Vsrc_HS1, Vds_HS1, cmd_HS2, Vsrc_HS2, Vds_HS2, cmd_LS1, Vds_LS1).

The Vds bit should not be 1 when the corresponding cmd bit is 1. I use DevStudio project to measure Vds when the solenoid is being activated, and get the scope screenshot (attached). In the screenshot, the blue line is start1, the yellow line is Vsrc_bat, the purple line is Vdrain_bat, the red line is Vdrain_bat - Vsrc_bat = Vds. Vds is either 500mV or 24V. The vds_thresholds_hs I use is 0b0111 aka 3.5V for every threshold. So Vds=500mV<3.5V should be considered as logical 0.

Please help me find out where it goes wrong:
1. The err_uc0ch1 has all channel1-related bits set to 1, what does that mean?
2. The scope shows Vds is either 500mV or 24V, and 500mV is less than threshold 3.5V. Why does err_uc0ch1 show Vds is 1 instead of 0?
3. Why cannot AN5186 project activate the solenoid when the solenoid is connected?enlarged

Hi ,

Please try AN5186 demo on the our EVB board. Some registers are configured related to the Hardware parameters.
