One bug report: the login NEVER sticks, even though I check "remember me on this computer". While my e-mail address is recalled from the history when I type the first character, it never remembers the password I used. Other sites work find, so there's nothing wrong with my Internet Explorer settings.

And one annoyance: My IE is set up to warn about mixed secure/unsecure content, and I get that warning on EVERY page in the community. Is there some reason the community uses https? Or that it uses mixed secure/unsecure content? It's just a discussion forum, not a bank or e-commerce site.

Hi Paul, what you are seeing are definitely bugs. I can not fix them myself but our support team can, I´ll submit a couple support tickets to address this behavior. Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, it should, shouldn't it.

But it doesn't.

I'm perfectly prepared to believe that there is some security setting on my system that is wrong, since it fails in IE11, my default browser, but works okay in Firefox. But the IE settings mentioned in that post are not the problem, since they're correct, and they work on every other site. There has to be something that freescale.com is doing differently from other web sites that is subverted by some other setting that other sites don't care about.
