      <title>Modify Android-System 4.04 so Wifi-USB would work (Android Car-Radio)</title>

      <description>&lt;PRE&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;Hello everyone,

I bought a used Android car radio. Kenwood DNN9230. &lt;BR /&gt;Unfortunately the previous owner no longer has the WiFi USB adapter. &lt;BR /&gt;Kenwood wrote to me that the adapter is no longer available. &lt;BR /&gt;But it should be an adapter with RTL 8188CU. I bought one of these. &lt;BR /&gt;Unfortunately it is not recognized on the car radio. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kenwood support believes that the original adapter has a fixed MAC address.

I downloaded the latest update as a zip file for the car radio. &lt;BR /&gt;There I can see the entire folder structure and files. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Every time I start, a menu pops up asking me whether I want to log in as an administrator or as a guest. &lt;BR /&gt;As an administrator you can only work with an existing WiFi connection.&lt;BR /&gt;
Even if I had a Wifi connection the request wouldn't work because according to Kenwood the "route-collector" service no longer exists. &lt;BR /&gt;My wish is that this query doesn't even appear.
Unfortunately you cannot switch this off in the system.

My idea now is to adapt the necessary files and then install the update.

Would that be possible and if so, what information do you need?&lt;BR /&gt;Sorry for my bad english. I used the google-translator and hope it ist good enough.

So, i hope that i could edit some of the files to make run another Wifi-USB. I read about this that the wpa_supplicant, netd, file is needed. But when the original adapter use a fix Mac-adress, i think then a diffrent WIFI-Adapter don`t work, when it use another Mac-adress. Maybe it is possible to change the Mac-adress in the updatefile or to find out in which file are the mac-adress from the Wifi-Adapter.
