Hi,

We have configured 4 SENT channels and assigned the channels as shown in the attachments. We are expecting Timer0, 1, 2, 3 to be configured for SENT RX and DMA transfer. Timer 5, 6, 7, 8 are configured for SPCO. We are seeing SENT frames with SPCO. We would expect Timer compare flags bit0 and 1 set and DMA transfer initiated which would clear the flag. We are using the S32K388 controller.

FYI - The Software is currently using only 2 SENTs - meaning SPCO is sent out only for channel 0 and 1.

One observation is that the TIMERSDEN register is showing a value of 0x0C. When all 4 SENTs are configured, shouldn't it be showing a value of 0x0F? Also, if only 2 SENTs are being used, should it only show 2 bits sets in this register? If only 2 bits, shouldn't it be Timer 0 and Timer1 bits at bits0 and 1? We think there is some mismatch in the timer mapping to the TIMERSDEN register.

Please find the attached screen shots for the configuration details also software version as below.

Build Version : S32K3_RTD_6_0_0_D2506_ASR_REL_4_7_REV_0000_20250610

* Project : RTD AUTOSAR 4.7
* Platform : CORTEXM
* Peripheral : FLEXIO_SENT_IP

Hi,

I tried to mimic your configuration using Sent_Receiver_S32K344 RTD demo example within S32DS.
I selected FlexIO channels 0,1,2,3 to be configured for SENT RX and DMA transfer and channels 5, 6, 7, 8 configured for SPC.
After Sent_init is called I see TIMERSDEN=0xF, this seems to be consistent with channel mapping.

Are you able to share full configuration and simplified project so we can check it directly?

Hi,

I do not work with EB Tresos a lot, so I asked SW team to check your config files.
I forwarded SW engineer reply (indicating callback usage) directly to you, forgot to place it here. If that does not help, let me know so I can ask them again.

Hi,

DMA buffer allocated for the Channel 0 Flexio_Sent_Ip_DmaTimerValue_0_0 array has value 12. During data processing we are calculating the Number of data including SPC (Func: Flexio_Sent_Ip_DmaHandler line:NumberOfData = Receiver->ChnlCfg[ChannelId].DmaBufferDepth * (Receiver->ChnlCfg[ChannelId].NibbleCnt + 3U + (uint8)((Receiver->ChnlCfg[ChannelId].SpcMode == FALSE) ? 0U : 1U)); ) the generated buffer array should be 14 not 12. and We are seeing the DMA buffer value for Ch0 is overflowing to Ch1 buffer.

Below are the screenshot attached with Description.

DMA_BufferSize12_WithOverFlow: With DMA buffer size 12 the data is overflow to the Ch1 Buffer.

DMA_BufferSize14_WithOutOverFlow: With DMA buffer size 14 there is no overflow of the data to Ch1.

Buffer_comparison_Srouce_Code: Code comparison after manually editing buffer size to 14 in the Flexio_Sent_Ip_Cfg.c file.

Thanks

Hi Annappa
Thanks for the configuration update, I'm already reported the DMA issue with RTD team, they are investigating more on this, however, I see that you are enabling FlexIO ISR but not DMA ISR.

The recommendation on Driver is to use the DMA interrupt in DMA to handle it.

For the DMA buffer I'll update you as soon as we get feedback from RTD team, thanks!

Hi Annapa, have you tried the PAUSE checkbox I posted few weeks ago?

Also, the processing from SENT is done through notifications

Please confirm that enabling the Pause pulse fixes the issue of DMA buffer (It increases from 12 to 14 elements the buffer).
