      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am working with a vehicle that gives an output of 13.5 V, so can I tap from this source to power S32 k144 mcu or do i need to step down it again?&lt;BR /&gt;Also if any datasheet that gives operating voltage range for this mcu then please attach that as well.&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Ajit&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Please refer to S32K1 Data Sheet -&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/S32K1xx.pdf" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/S32K1xx.pdf&amp;nbsp;&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;- to chapter&amp;nbsp;4.2 Voltage and current operating requirements.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Then this query is related to your board and not to S32K1 itself. S32K1 has max operating supply voltage 5.5V.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;So, you need to check voltage operating range of your board.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;The board&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://www.nxp.com/design/design-center/development-boards-and-designs/automotive-development-platforms/s32k-mcu-platforms/s32k144-q100-evaluation-board-for-automotive-general-purpose:S32K144EVB" target="_blank"&gt;S32K144-Q100 Evaluation Board for Automotive General Purpose | NXP Semiconductors&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;is assembled with UJA1169 which has maximum voltage on BAT pin +40V and the static characteristic are guaranteed for&amp;nbsp;VBAT = 2.8 V to 28 V. So, 13.5V is OK for this board.&lt;/P&gt;
