Thanks. I'll look into using the LCU, or maybe eTPU.

I am trying to use the eMIOS QDEC mode to decode an A/B phase signal at fairly high speed (about 100KHz), but not sure how this should be configured in Design Studio. The end goal is to connect it to a model in MBDT.

Does the S32DS I/O Configurator support QDEC mode? The MCAL ICU driver supports SAIC and PWM modes. But it does not seem to support QDEC mode?

If not supported, what is the best approach to manually configure the eMIOS and the A/B inputs to the channel?

Or is there any other viable method to implement a Phase A/B quadrature decoder in S32K396? Looks like quadrature phase decoding is supported via eTPU as well?

Hi,

eMIOS on S32K396 does not have QDEC mode implemented. List of available modes is given in Table 335

PetrS_0-1763615373394.png

The LCU can be configured to decode quadrature signals, see more in chapter 62.6.1.8 Incremental encoder of the RM.

eTPU supports quadrature phase decoding as well, as you wrote.
