&lt;P&gt;You are correct that NTB0102GT is not suitable for I²C communication. The correct part for I²C level shifting should be NTS0102. NTB0102 and NTS0102 share the same footprint, so replacing NTB0102 with NTS0102 is straightforward&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;On the S32K388EVB-Q289, NTB0102GT is currently populated, which means that using LPI2C1 through this translator may lead to unreliable communication.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;NXP provides a&amp;nbsp;FS56 Generic Software Driver with Examples, available on the FS5600 product page:&lt;/P&gt;
