S32DS RTD3.0.0 IDE tool stuck problem

Hi :

I have a question is that S32DS IDE tool very lag every time I change each component or variable on mex file.

Is there any auto generate code or related config of S32DS IDE tool that I can close it?

For example, I just want move the sequence of can hardware object, but it will stuck for a while every time I move a step. It is really bother me.

Hi BillWen,

The S32K3 RTD 3.0.0 was released many years ago.

We always recommend that customers use the latest RFP-quality S32K3 RTD and the S32DS version mentioned in its release note.

This issue has been fixed in S32DS v3.5 Update 12.

My software environment is S32DS 3.5 and RTD 3.0.0, do yo mean that I need update S32DS from version 3.5 to 3.6?

This issue was fixed in S32DS Update 12 and later. It is recommended to update to a later version.

You can choose to update online: Open S32DS Extensions and Updates and update the S32 Design Studio Platform Package and S32 Design Studio Platform Tools Package.

Or download an offline update package, such as S32DS Update 12(SW32_S32DS_3.5.12_D2405.zip).

Or extend JVM memory. Go to similar location C:\NXP\S32DS.3.5\eclipse\s32ds.ini and increase -Xmx parameter to 8Gb.

I already updated to 3.5.14 but still very slow, and I also change the Xmx to 12G, it seems same.

Do you have other suggestion? Or I should use S32DS 3.6 version?

I suggest you install S32DSv3.6.1 + S32K3 RTD 6.0.0, and then check if the performance of configuring peripherals in the MCAL project improves.

Thanks for your reply.
Can I use S32DSv3.6.1 + S32K3 RTD 3.0.0? Is it possible? Because we develop BMS based on RTD3.0.0, if we change to RTD6.0.0 need much effort to do. Temporarily, we want to focus on other implementation.
