S32K3 HSE firmware installation issues

I am using the S32K312 chip and would like to ask if there is a way to reinstall the HSE firmware.

The project compiled with the HSE firmware installation image was programmed and run. After that, the firmware became unusable, and upon re-debugging, I found that I could not retrieve the HSE status and version number. I suspect that the firmware installation failed and resulted in a bad firmware being installed in the secure area. Upon further debugging the firmware installation program, I discovered that the UTEST area has already been written to, and the firmware cannot be reinstalled.

I would like to know if there is a way to reinstall the HSE firmware.

我使用S32K312的芯片，想问下是否有方法可以重新安装Hse固件。

使用Hse固件安装的工程编译后的镜像进行安装。烧录该镜像，运行。之后固件不可用，重新调试发现无法获取到Hse状态和版本号。我怀疑是固件安装失败导致坏的固件被安装到安全保护区。再调试运行固件安装程序发现UTEST区已经被写入了，固件不会被重新安装。

现在想问下是否有方法可以重新安装Hse固件。

Check HSE GPR register at 0x4039C028. Bit '0' says if HSE firmware is installed or not.

Programming of the HSE FW feature flag at 0x1B00_0000 is one-time operation. It’s not necessary to do that second time (it’s even not possible). Once it is programmed, the device is unlocked for HSE installation forever.
You can install HSE FW 0.2.55.0, erase it and install it again without touching the feature flag second time.

Could you please tell me which project you are using? 如果是...\s32k3_hse_lib_rtd400hf01_20250903\HseLib_HseFwInstall_Rtd400 工程的话，应该不存在这个问题。

0x4039C028 Bit '0' 是 0。 SBAF 的版本号看是01 0D。

Hse固件Flash地址被保护了，我如何去擦除刷写新的Hse固件？

The offline programming process in S32K3_HseAppProgram_MassProduction_UserGuide_AbSwap.pdf are for CYCLONE and should also be followed when using other Flash Programmer. For example, delay at least 3 seconds after download S32K3x2_HseFwInstall_MassProduction_Rtd200_Ds343_AB_SWAP_FW_0260.srec and Run(F9 when using J-Flash) Wait for the HSE FW to complete the installation.

Here is the value shown the HSE FW already installed:
SBAF version 0x4039C020= 010D0000 00090001 means 1.13.0_2.6.0 (AB_SWAP)
0x4039C028 bit 0=1 says HSE firmware is installed.

好的，我又进行了尝试，也是可以正常安装的啦。

我发现是我们合并了一版修改时钟和添加Power模块休眠唤醒功能的代码后，运行后导致Hse固件损坏了。再也无法获取到Hse的状态啦。

麻烦再请问下这个情况可能是什么原因会导致Hse固件损坏，有什么方法可以修复它吗？

Okay, I've tried again and it can be installed normally.

I found that after we merged a version of code that modified the clock and added the Power module's sleep/wake functionality, running it caused the Hse firmware to become corrupted. We can no longer retrieve the Hse status.

Could you please advise what might have caused the Hse firmware corruption in this case, and is there any way to fix it?

请问这个Hse Clk只能配置为60MHz吗？我们这个配置是之前就已经配置为80MHz了并且没有出现问题。在合入其他修改后出现的这个问题。

Is this Hse Clk limited to a configuration of only 60MHz? We previously configured it to 80MHz without any issues. This problem only appeared after merging other modifications.
