Hello Everyone,

I need to use in my project the externall interrupt functionality. So I have a question - How to add its in the S32 Design Studio? I used "Routing Details" (inside the "Pin" perspective window) to modify "Interrupt Configuration

" Where is the interrupt handler? I have analused modification of source code after I cliced on "Update Code", but I wasn't able to find it.

I use S32 DS v3.5 versionon.

Hi @E_GK

Port_Icu and IntCtrl drivers are needed to control the pin interrupt. Please refer to this post: GPIO interrupt example project using S32K1xx RTD without AUTOSAR - NXP Community.

It is based on S32DS v3.4, but routine should be the same in newer version.

Hello,

Thank you for this information. I have install the autosar extension (RTD for S32K1 and S32 RTD Autosar), but there is no the driver in my project.

There are a screans from my project below.

I have additional question: How to add any example for SS32DS V3.6?

I have installed the same extension, but there are no examples...

Hi @E_GK,

Have you expanded the RTD list for the examples?

From the pictures you've shared, it seems that you have installed multiple RTD packages into the IDE. This is not supported. Please try installing a singular RTD version.

Lastly, I can see you have S32K1 RTD 2.0.0 QLP1 installed. This release is a quality patch, mainly focused on crypto:

Please try installing the base version of the patch (RTD 2.0.0, without QLP1) in order to get full drivers support.

Thank you for your answer. I have uninstalled all the versions of S32 DS (V3.5 and 3.6.3). After that I have installed verion 3.6.3 and the bellow package:

SW32K1_S32M24x_RTD_4.4_R21-11_2.0.0_D2308.exe

SW32K1_S32M24x_RTD_4.4_R21-11_2.0.0_D2308_DS_Updatesite.zip.

My extension are on the bellow screan

I have a problem with example project - some missing path / tools

When I try to create new empty project and add the needed driver I see the bellow problems

""driver" is not found in the toolchain/IDE project. The project will not compile!"

I'm going to develop software for S32K146 and S32K148 MCU base on the driver topology.

There are many version on your webside and many topics on the nxp community forum descibe a problem, but other versions of tool and IDE. For me there is a huge problem with namig of your version and tool. It is difficul to find what is necessary to start develop the software. there's always something missing.

Could you please send me any short guide how to install all necessary tool for S32K14x family please?

I apologize if the installation steps seem confusing.

When importing a project, please carefully read the description.txt file included with it. The steps to build it are described there:

"Before running the example a configuration needs to be generated. First go to Project Explorer View in S32 DS and select the current project. Select the "S32 Configuration Tool" menu then click on the desired configuration tool (Pins, Cocks, Peripherals etc...). Clicking on any one of those will generate all the components. Make the desired changes(if any) then click on the "S32 Configuration Tool->Update Code" button."

You must click the "Update Code" button in order to generate the necessary code for the project:

After this, you can build the project successfully. You can refer to the S32DS - list of HOWTOs for some introductory guides on how to use S32DS and its features.

1. I used "Update Code" button, but it was not solve my problem. I can't compile an example project.

2. In case of new project - how to solve the problem mentioned in my previous message?

How to add any driver to the MCU?

3. Is there any others possibility to use external interrupt without Autosar RTD extension?

2. Normally, when adding drivers to the config tools, the driver is added to the project as well. Simply clicking "Update Code" generates the necessary files. You can also right-click and add them to the toolchain manually:

3. Instead of using RTD, you can use AN5413: S32K1xx Series Cookbook. While there is no pin interrupt example, you can use it as reference. Chapter 2.3 (Hello World + Interrupts) shows how to configure interrupts.

If the examples are not being imported correctly, there may be an issue with your RTD installations. If possible, please try to do a clean install. I've attached a simple guide on how to download and install the RTD packages. It is based on S32K3XX devices, but procedure is the same for S32K1.

Finally I founded myself the example for externall interrupt for SDK and it works on my PCB.
I lost few days for find the proper solution.
For everyone who will use externall interrupt - The example looks like on the bellow screan.
