S32K3X8EVB-Q289 uses S26KL512SDABHV030 device what’s HYPERFLASH device i.e. octal SPI flash memory connected with HyperBus protocol. However there is not example for this memory.

In the current RTD (6.0.0), following memories has been tested:

However it is more or less unified protocol, so customer can use this driver if he use it with QuadSPI/HyperFlash/HyperRAM on his own board.

In general I would say that we try to avoid recommending specific devices to customers for external components. We are at least indirectly recommending devices by including them on our EVBs and reference designs. So in most cases our best recommendation is to use the devices we have used or at least find something similar that will meet your specific needs.

You can select from following examples to find an inspiration.

Unfortunately, it is not in our power to test all possible memory configurations that are on the market.

Thanks for understanding

Help with AT25QF641B and S32K358 Using QuadSPI – Reference Project or MEM\_43ExFls Driver Guidance?

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a project using the S32K358 microcontroller and interfacing it with an AT25QF641B serial flash memory via the QuadSPI interface.

While exploring the available software support, I came across the MEM\_43ExFls driver in the S32K3 RTD package. It looks like this driver is intended for external flash memory, possibly over QSPI, but I couldn’t find clear documentation or a reference project that demonstrates how to configure and use it with a third-party flash like the AT25QF641B.

Has anyone used the MEM\_43ExFls driver to communicate with non-default or custom QSPI flash devices?

Here are a few specific questions I have:

* Are there any reference examples or demo projects using MEM\_43ExFls with external flash on S32K358?

* What steps are needed to configure the driver for AT25QF641B (e.g., device ID, command set, memory map)?

* Any recommendations or caveats when integrating third-party flash chips with this driver?

Any help, pointers, or shared experience would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards,

M.J.David
