Hello everyboby...

I am woking with a project using S32k144 and tja1020 lin driver. I can use the hardware as master or slave for simulating data on lin bus. My problem is i can find any way for logging Lin data on Lin buss, if there are both real master and slave nodes on bus.

With flexcan, we have Listen-only mode for this case, but as i know, there is no mode like this for Lin driver. So could any body have solution for this case? Thankyou very much at all...

Hi @vcuongnv91,

The simplest and most effective solution would be to use a tool like the PEAK-System PLIN-USB. It allows for passive tracing of LIN bus communication without interfering with the signal, making it ideal for debugging and monitoring purposes.

Thankyou very much for your quickly reply. With s32k1 / s32k3 and Lin driver like TJA1021 / TJA1124 / SJA1124, is there any solution for logging Lin data like PLin-USB of KEAK-System? Or we must select other hardware for this?

At this time, my solution is using an other uart channel connect with LpUart-Lin channel for reading data after receiving Header from Lin bus. And it is working fine. Is there any solution better than this?

Hello @vcuongnv91,

I think this is the best solution -using another UART module to monitor the RX line from the transceiver.

Regarding transceivers, there are some devices that have a Listen only modes, for example UJA113X, but this is not the issue here.

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/data-sheet/UJA113X_SER.pdf

Regards,
