S32KのトピックFS4500 SBC Wdg window change

I wanted to understand if it's possible to initialize the SBC (after LPOFF) with Wdg window selected as 0 in INIT_FS mode. And change the window size to a non-zero window size in 'Normal' mode?Based on the technical reference it appears to be possible to do so but didn't work when I tried this. Can you please suggest how to do this?

Hi Rashiqua,

Yes, you can initialize the FS45 in INIT_FS state with the watchdog window set to 0 (WD_WINDOW_3:0 = 0b0000). Note that this is effective only when the INIT_FS phase is closed, so it requires at least one good watchdog refresh (0x4D when using a default LFSR value of 0xB2) within the 256ms of the INIT_FS timeout. Then you can change the watchdog window duration to a non-zero value in Normal mode.

BRs, Tomas

Thanks , Tomas. I will try this again.
Is it correct that a window_size 0 will keep the Wdg disabled? And we can 'enable' it by increasing the window size to non-zero value at 'any time' in Normal mode.
