Hello
We are using s32k324
I have a question about hse
I understand that to use hse on s32k324 board, hse firmware provided by nxp needs to be flash on board
However, I received an answer last time that this reference document is a security file, so should I ask for permission? I understand that the permission request is only for those who have company mail.
I'm a research student, so is there a way to flash hse firmware separately?

Helllo,

You're right, accessing and flashing the HSE firmware on the S32K324 involves security considerations, and NXP restricts access to certain resources. Here's a breakdown of the situation and potential paths forward for a research student: e-zpassnh

Understanding the HSE Firmware Restriction:

Security Sensitivity: The HSE (Hardware Security Engine) firmware is a critical component for security features. It contains sensitive cryptographic algorithms and keys. Distributing it without proper authorization could compromise the security of the devices.
Commercial Agreements: NXP typically distributes HSE firmware and related documentation under non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and commercial licenses. This is to protect their intellectual property and ensure responsible use of the security features.
Company Email Verification:

Best Regards

Hi @minjaekang99

As I write in previous thread, HSE-B firmware reference manual can be downloaded from :
https://www.nxp.com/products/S32K3
You can find it in section Documentation -> Secure Files.

If you do not have sufficient access rights, please follow:
https://www.nxp.com/support/support/secure-access-rights:SEC-ACCESS

HSE firmware is then included in S32K3 Standard Software package:
https://www.nxp.com/webapp/swlicensing/sso/downloadSoftware.sp?catid=SW32K3-STDSW-D

Regards,
Lukas
