JTAG LOCK/UNLOCK on J-Link

HI there,

We have a requirement to develop the feature on JTAG lock/Unlock using password authentication. There are many information which we went through where we have to write the Password in UTEST Sector and changing the Life cycle from CUST_DEL to OEM_PROD which will enable the JTAG lock after reset.

I have few questions:

1) Is this the only way we can lock/unlock s32k312 MCU? because we got some info on without performing the above mentioned procedure, we can directly enable some secure feature on the J-LINK which will ask every time for password to debug the SW.
