S32k1xx Driver Declaration issue

Hello NXP Team,

I'm currently using S32DS 3.5 and have created a project from the Example S32SDK_S32K1XX_RTM_4.0.1 for the S32K118. The project is based on the freertos_S32K118 demo app.

I used the configuration tool to add the LPUART driver, but encountered a declaration issue, as shown in the attached image.

Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue?

It is recommended to install S32K1 RTD 2.0.x with S32DS Extensions and Updates in S32DS v3.5. If the online installation fails, please refer to HOWTO: offline install S32K1 RTD 2.0.0 in S32DS v3.5

Or install S32K1 SDK RTM 4.0.3 with S32DS Extensions and Updates in S32DS v3.4.

It is not recommended to install S32K1 SDK 4.0.x in S32DS v3.5. According to the currently available information, we don’t have any plan to integrate S32SDK S32K1XX 4.0.x into S32DS 3.5 or above version.

I imported freertos_s32k118 of SDK 4.0.3 in S32DS v3.4 and did not encounter this error.

Where can I download SDK RTM 4.0.3?

I am unable to update it through S32DS Extensions and Updates.

I have already installed the tools listed below.

Are there any additional packages I should install for the S32K118 device?

Usually, you should be able install it online, just like you have successfully installed S32K1 SDK 4.0.2.
But if the online installation fails, please offline install SW32K3_S32DS_3.4.3_D2112.zip.

Please download it by click S32K3 Standard Software -> Automotive SW - S32K3 - S32 Design Studio -> Previous -> 3.4.3_D2112 S32 Design Studio for S32 Platform v.3.4 Update 3 with support for S32K3 devices

Please update the S32 Design Studio Platform
package and S32 Design Studio Platform Tools packages.

By the way, I am currently using S32DS v3.4.

Following your instructions, I can only see the 3.4.1_D2110 download link,

but I cannot find the SW32K3_S32DS_3.4.3_D2112 download link.

Is the download link removed?

It seems that your account does not contain 3.4.3_D2112 S32 Design Studio for S32 Platform v.3.4 Update 3 with support for S32K3 devices.
Try updating S32 Design Studio 3.4.3 first? Then install S32K1 SDK 4.0.3.

Or install a new S32DS v3.4, for example: C:\NXP\S32DS.3.4_S32K1_SDK403
Then update the S32 Design Studio Platform package and S32 Design Studio Platform Tools package 3.4.3, then update the S32K1xx development package, and finally install S32SDK S32K1XX RTM 4.0.3

I've already updated S32DS to version 3.4.3, but I'm still unable to install S32K1XX RTM 4.0.3.

Could you please advise on where I can download S32DS v3.4.3?

Since you don't have S32DS v3.4.3 in your account and you have already updated it, I don't know why you still need to download it.

Please try to install a new S32DS v3.4, for example: C:\NXP\S32DS.3.4_S32K1_SDK403
Then update the S32 Design Studio Platform package and S32 Design Studio Platform Tools package 3.4.3, then update the S32K1xx development package, and finally install S32SDK S32K1XX RTM 4.0.3

By the way, for new projects, we recommend using the latest S32K1 RTD 2.0.x + S32DS v3.5.

Hello Robin

I followed the guide HOWTO: offline install S32K1 RTD 2.0.0 in S32DS v3.5 to install RTD 2.0.0 for S32K118.

After completing the installation, I attempted to create a new project using the Uart_Example_S32K118. However, the project build failed, and I encountered the error shown in the attached picture.

Below is the list of software I have installed. Could you please check if I am missing anything?

I noticed that RTD 2.0.0 does not include sample code for RTOS. Can RTD 2.0.0 be used for porting RTOS?

A1. Please follow the Uart_Example_S32K118/description.txt
Right click on the current project, then click "S32 Configuration Tool" choose "Open Peripherals".
Pay attention to any error and warning message. If any configured value is invalid, they will be shown for user.
Make the desired changes (if any) then click "Update Code".

A2. Please offline install SW32K1_S32M24x_FreeRTOS_10_5_1_UOS_2_0_0_DS_updatesite_D2308.zip

Click S32K1 Reference Software -> Automotive SW - S32K1 - FreeRTOS - > 10.5.1_2.0.0 S32K1 FreeRTOS 10.5.1 version 2.0.0
