Hi, I don't think it would be possible to detect it SW way. Such information is not stored in any MCU's register.

I'm using a S32K116 MCU with extended temperature range (-40...125°C) for my current project. I would like to detect if a wrong chip with the lower temperature range is assembled, because this could lead to expensive loss of function in the field.

Is there a register inside the chip that contains the temperature range information like the registers that contain information about the chip features (SIM->SDID)?

If not, is there some other way to detect the specified temperature range in software?

Thanks,

Markus
