&lt;P&gt;DMA can be used, but this is not a replacement for the FIFO.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We can use either Interrups or DMA to transfer data to the DATA register, regardless whether the FIFOs are enabled or not.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
