S32K396 Flash blocks erase

According to S32K39_and_S32K37_memory_map.xls S32K396 has only one Flash block of size 6144kB. It has probably many sectors but only one block.

Is this true that this chip Flash is not divided into several blocks?

If yes then how can I perform Flash sector erase procedure if there is only one block. I would erase it from the same place my code is currently executed. Should erase be executed from RAM in that case?

All in all, what are the constrains for Flash Erase if it has only one big block?

In the RM 21.7.1.2, you may read statement that:

„Block erase is for Factory use only, under controlled conditions.“

In other words, user should not use this operation at all. Also debug probed does not use this operation for MCU flash programming.

If you see device datasheet, Number of program/erase cycles per block using Block Erase is only 25 cycles. In other words, user should not use this operation at all. Also debug probed does not use this operation for MCU flash programming.

However flask block configuration is specified at the beginning of Embedded Flash Memory (c40asf) chapter.

You may see there are 4 blocks.
