The voltage is very small, the accuracy of the multimeter is not enough

Here's how we measure it:
1. Remove the resistor, use tools such as electric soldering iron or heat gun,
2. Use a multimeter in series to measure the current on the circuit

hello, i am using s32k312, i a am trying to measure current in different standbymodes, i measuring current across the J10 jumper according to HW user manual. i measure different current from data sheet and power estimation tool. i disabled both FIRC and SIRC

saibodhanapu_0-1687166980167.png

another strange thing is in HW user maual it is said that when the jumper is open it should not power the mcu but even when the jumper is open i can see the power on mcu.

saibodhanapu_1-1687167210536.png

can you please tell me how to take accurate measurements with EVB.

Regards,

Sai Praveen Bodhanapu.

•Remove R303 resistor and shunt on J10, and then connect the multimeter on J10 for current measurement.

•Change the shunt on J18 header to 1-2 for 5V supply and 2-3 for 3.3V supply

some test result for your reference(base on s32k312 evb)

Current in RUN mode (3.3V supply) = 72.4mA

Current in STANDBY mode (3.3V supply) = 46.7uA

Current in RUN mode (5.0V supply) = 72.9mA

Current in STANDBY mode (5.0V supply) = 355.9uA

hello @Senlent, i can see the R303 is smd component on the board. how can i remove it? and can we measure current accross the shunt resistance using voltage drop?
Regards,
Sai Praveen bodhanapu
