In fact i want to ask thing about J11 port. Should the 5th and 6th pins remain connected or seperate (VDDIO and VDDI2C) while communicating with the other mcu spi?

Hello everyone

I read that if the user wants to connect the SPI to another MCU, this is possible.I want to write it whether it should be connected to the VDDIO and VDDI2C pins on the j11 pin. I want to communicate with SPI.

Thanks..

Hello,

I hope all is great with you. Thank you for using the NXP communities.

You are correct, digital signals such as SPI are accessible through connectors.

In this case, as the kit uses a KL25Z MCU to communicate with FlexGUI, you need to disconnect the KL25Z in order to connect your MCU.

In this case, remove J28 and appropriate jumpers to disconnect the KL25Z MCU (see Figure 5) and connect the external MCU on J30 connector as shown in Figure 6. In addition to this change, make sure that the VDDIO voltage domain is the same on MCU side and SBC side.

I hope this information helps.

Regards,

Hello,

Once again, thank you for using the NXP community.

Note that an external LDO is provided to feed VDDI2C. This LDO can also be used to feed VDDIO, which is the default implementation. The LDO is supplied by 5.0 V coming from the USB.

If you will supply your the board using the USB, I do recommend using the default configuration (3.3V) as VDDIO is the input voltage of the SPI module.

Regards,
