How do I setup communication between SAMV71 MCU and MC33771B through SPI?

I am currently trying to use FRDM33771BSPIEV to monitor 8 cell voltages. I have connected the hardware

according to the user manual and the 4 wire SPI connections have also been setup. Here SAMV71 is master and MC33771B is slave module.

1)How do I receive messages from MC33771B?

2)How do I program MC33771B i.e what instructions do I use?(some commands such as MEAS_STACK have been mentioned in the data sheet, do I use them?)

3) Are there any examples files to control MC33771B or to atleast retrieve data from MC33771B?
