We are using the GMAC interface for our RDB3 board and attempting to do wake on LAN.

The KSZ9031 PHY connected to this interface supports wake on LAN upon configuration, however the GPIO interrupt from it does not connect to a wakeable pin on the RDB3 board so it cannot be used for wake on LAN.

Does the MAC itself support wake on LAN? Is there any documentation on how we can we configure it on the provided Linux BSP for the RDB3? It seems like when the RDB3 is put to sleep the PHY rail is powered off as well.

Hello, @jliu

Thanks for the question.

May I know which BSP version you are using now?

Seems that this topic might have been discussed in the following link:

https://community.nxp.com/t5/S32G/Wake-On-LAN-for-S32G2-RDB2-Autolinux-BSP-v33/td-p/1608748

Hope it could be helpful.

Best Regards

We are using BSP version 38 with the RDB3.

Unfortunately the topic you linked does not provide additional information, it is not clear how to achieve Wake On LAN on the S32G3 RDB3 board. From the hardware schematics and documentation it seems like this is not possible on the S32G3 RDB3 board, could you please help confirm if it is and how to implement it?

Thanks for the reply and really sorry for late response

Well, I have investigated the documents related and also confirmed with the internal team, this feature is not supported via GMAC/PFE.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best Regards
