The IPCF driver is not integrated with the RPMsg driver in the linux BSP.

IPCF is only supported with the SHM driver with zero-copy API.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

<LI-SPOILER> </LI-SPOILER>
I noticed that the IPC means on S32G is called IPCF (It's totally new for me).

As similar IPC means RPMSG already used on I.MX platform, what the consideration to create a new one?

Or will RPMSG available by S32G platform?

Thanks!

Thank you Miguel.

May I know more detail such as the advantage of IPCF compare to RPMsg on S32G?

Because choosing IPCF or to migrate RPMsg is still being discussed in our team.

Best Regard,

Guangyu.

Hi @Guangyu_D

They seems to be pretty different, since RPMsg is not supported with S32G we do not have the knowledge to support it.

I have found these documents that could provide you more details regarding RPMsg and IPC, maybe they can help you with more details.

RPMsg

IPCF

IPCF page

According to the block diagram both systems works differently.

Since this seems that is all the information we currently have, I recommend you to contact your DFAE or nxp representative, they might have more information.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Best Regards, Miguel.
