Hi,

We can recommend looking into the "Software Enablement Guide/Training" available under the RDB3 product page (link: S32G3 Vehicle Networking Reference Design | NXP Semiconductors).

This provides the usage of an external memory interface for booting the platform.

As for loading the binaries from Linux, this flow is not recommended since it is not documented officially. There is an example that loads the binaries from uboot (IPCF_Example_S32G399_M7_0) but it is specific to that example. Modifications are required if you are willing to load additional/different binaries.

Please, let us know.

Dear NXP Support,

We recently purchased the S32G-VNP-RDB3 Board and have successfully compiled the Siul2_Dio_ToggleLed_S32G399A_M7.elf example using S32 Design Studio for M7_0.

Could you please provide guidance on the steps necessary to transfer this ELF file and execute it on the M7_0 Core on the S32G-VNP-RDB3 Board?

Currently, we do not have the Lauterbach or S32G Debug Probe debugger.

Is there an alternative method for transferring and executing, for example, the Siul2_Dio_ToggleLed_S32G399A_M7.elf, using an SD Card or the Flash tool with the COM Port and running it on the M7_0 Core?

Alternatively, is there a way to load it via Linux that's running on the SD Card?

Could you please provide any documentation needed to describe this?

Note: We successfully ran the included SD Card that was in the kit, and we could boot Linux on A53.

Best Regards
