Hello Supporter

We have an EVB3 Board and try simple setting up to verify

- S32G Vehicle Network Processing Evaluation Board 3 | NXP Semiconductors

Try flashing one sample blob file from S32FT to verify the board is worked

C:\NXP\S32FlashTool_2.3.3\examples\S32G\SRAM\S32G_TestTransmission_921600_8E1_0x34080000_SRAM.bin
-> Good

Now create a simple blinking LED step in this instruction apply to EVB3

Target to this demo is flashing 2 these LEDs

Preparation setting up

Follow instruction create project but adapt to EVB3 (instruction applied to RDB)
- S32G-VNP-RDB3 Software Enablement Training Presentation
Modify the .mex file
Generate successfully
Create the image (.blob) to program Flash (QSPI protocol) using IVT tool
Switch to Boot mode Serial
- Power OFF the board from the SW10 switch
  J50: 1-2
  SW14: 1-OFF, 2-OFF
  SW15: 1-OFF, 2-ON
  J158: 3-5 and 4-6
Upload the algorithm file to QSPI
Then flashing .blob file
Turn off the board and switch to boot config
- Power OFF the board from the SW10 switch
  J50: 1-2
  SW14: 1-ON, 2-OFF
  SW15: 1-OFF, 2-OFF
  J158: 3-5 and 4-6
  SW6: BOOTCFG[5:7]: 6-OFF, 7-OFF, 8-OFF
  SW7: All OFF
  SW8: All OFF
  SW9: All OFF
  Power ON the board
Wait sometimes but D14 and D15 LED not flashing

One question

What is the different between these 2 bin files in
C:\NXP\S32FlashTool_2.3.3\examples\S32G\SRAM\

As my understanding it boot to Single core - M7 (S32G_TestTransmission_921600_8E1_0x34080000_SRAM_SINGLE.bin) and Multicore (S32G_TestTransmission_921600_8E1_0x34080000_SRAM.bin)
Is that correct?

Because when flashing S32G_TestTransmission_921600_8E1_0x34080000_SRAM.bin -> It working

But when I used the same way but using S32G_TestTransmission_921600_8E1_0x34080000_SRAM_SINGLE.bin, nothing happen.

How can we use this S32G_TestTransmission_921600_8E1_0x34080000_SRAM_SINGLE.bin? I don't see it in any document

Thank you for contacting us.

You can try to modify the demo of Port_Example_S32G399A_M7 for your application. You only need to modify the pin content for this demo.

Change the port in the Config Tool.

Then, click the "update code" button and build project to generate the Image.

But seem it not working yet after I flashing SW to M7 - No LED blinking yet

Would you please help to check the attachment, or can you please send me the blob bin file using SD card for checking.

Thank you for your information.

I have tried to test in my side.

If you set the pin Level value is the Low, you can find the LED light after initial the Port_Init(NULL_PTR);.

If you also want to observe the LED blinking, you can try to modify the code as the following picture.

I have tried but seem not working yet.

Please note that I created the blob image using IVT tool and flashing to QSPI

Would you please help to send me one .blob file which you can generated for me can verify in my EVB3-S?
