Hi NXP Community,

I am working with a fresh install of S32 Design studio v3.6.1 and created a project for S32G399A. I have also intsalled the RTD package using the "Install new Software option". When I try to access the IVT tools, the design studio crashes abruptly and it happens every time I do that. I have tried installing a previous release from March 31, 2025 which also has the same problem.

I am attaching the error log generated by the studio here.

My OS info:
Linux precision-3591 6.8.0-59-generic #61~22.04.1-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Tue Apr 15 17:03:15 UTC 2 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Java version:
openjdk 21.0.7 2025-04-15
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 21.0.7+6-Ubuntu-0ubuntu122.04)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 21.0.7+6-Ubuntu-0ubuntu122.04, mixed mode, sharing)

Could you please help me out with a fix for this issue? Let me know if you need any other information from my end.

Thanks.

Thanks for the post.

From the release notes of S32DS3.6.1, the following OS are supported for S32DS3.6.1, I suggest trying installing it on the OS supported for another trial.

Hello, @pcentauri92

Thanks for you reply.

I have checked the log you provided, it may caused by the incompatible version of JAVA, from the release notes, Java17 is recommended.

However, with further checking on the issue, I suggest not using S32DS under Linux, it is because currently, there are issues existed on supporting RTD on Ubuntu host. As a result, make the installation issue fixed would not help on further use of RTD. I suggest installing the S32DS3.6.1 on a Windows Host.

Sorry for your inconvenience.
