Thanks for your reply.

I have checked the source code, and suggest having a test for your cases under BSP42(or newer) if possible, since there is some bugfix applied since this version, the bug you mentioned is also fixed from the available information.

Hi Team

Hardware: Based on S32G3.

When reading the zone1 temperature, which is for A-core. When it reaches “64 degrees centigrade” the hardware is getting rebooted.

Below is the Linux message. Temperature is continuously read, for three zones values are as below, when issue happened.

64350(zone 0)
64350(zone 1)
62850(zone 2)

kernel[435]: [ 7919.187233] thermalthermal_zone1: a53_cores: critical temperature reached, shutting down

kernel[435]: [ 7919.187252] reboot: HARDWARE PROTECTION shutdown (Temperature too high)

Alert temperature is 80 and critical temperature is 100 degrees configured in Linux DTS, even though we configured 100, still reboot is observed at 64 degrees.

Thanks for your post.

I understand that you may test it on your custom S32G3 based board, is it right? May I know which version BSP you are working with? I would check the kernel code first once confirmed.

Hi,

It is observed on BSP39, and below issue is mentioned in BSP39 release notes.

I have looked into release notes from BSP39 to BSP44, observed this current bug is not yet fixed. Could you please confirm the same, whether it is fixed ?

There are several issues regarding to TMU since BSP39, some of them are fixed in BSP40, while some of them are fixed in later release, if possible, I suggest testing it on BSP42
